This season the Outreach Committee partnered with the Social Committee to launch a new concept for The Angel Tree in which MCWA Members purchased feather angels at its November luncheon that would benefit the children at Alpha Omega Miracle Home. In addition, monetary donations were collected to help Pie in the Sky, Port In The Storm and Food 4 Kids. Members received a handcrafted Oyster shell angel and an invitation to the Angel Affair with their donations.
This past December, again following the original plan, The Marsh Creek Women's Association has planned a full season of social and charitable events. The first charitable event of the season was the Angel Affair on December 12th. That night some 100 members and their guests were feted to a dinner created by Marsh Creek Country Club’s chef, Will Swank. After dinner Streetlife performed and the dance floor was hoppin’.
Mimi Iannuzzi is the Outreach Committee Chair and Ellen Blasi is Vice Chair. Tracy Gallagher is Chair of the Social Committee and Martha Halrow is Vice Chair.
