About The Miracle Club

Set in 1967, the story of three generations of close friends, a hard-knocks community in Dublin, who have one tantalizing dream: to win a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes, that place of miracles that draws millions of visitors each year. When the chance to win presents itself, the women seize it.

However, just before their trip, their old friend Chrissie arrives in Ballygar for her mother's funeral, dampening their good mood and well-laid plans. The women secure tickets and set out on the journey that they hope will change their lives, with Chrissie, a skeptical traveler, joining in place of her mother. The glamour and sophistication of Chrissie, who has just returned from a nearly 40-year exile in the United States, are not her only distancing traits: Old wounds are reopened along the way, forcing the women to confront their pasts even as they travel in search of a miracle. Their shared traumas can only be healed by the curative power of love and friendship.

PROGRAM INFO

Daniel Wiley, JSYO Music Director & Assistant Conductor

Joan Ellison, Vocalist

In her 47 years of life, Judy Garland became an American icon as an actress and singer. Now Joan Ellison, who Cabaret Scenes Magazine calls, “a singer who’s been obsessed with Judy Garland since childhood, who is Judy-esque in appearance, and who’s a near voice double for her idol” joins the Symphony to celebrate Judy’s 100th birthday. Hear Joan sing classics like “Over the Rainbow,” “For Me and My Gal,” “The Man That Got Away” and many more. Whether you’re a Garland fan or not, you won’t want to miss this magical concert.

Social Committee Brings Cheer To The Community Park

On December 20th, The Marsh Creek Chorale Held A Christmas Concert

Our Social Committee, led by Martha Halcrow and Tracy Gallagher, baked cookies and served hot chocolate. The Chorale performed 16 songs to a brave crowd on a cold and windy winter day.

Eco Tour Boat Excursion

Our MCWA ladies MCWA enjoyed a private charter for a 2 hour boat excursion with Master Captain Zach McKenna, navigating tidal creeks, estuaries and near shore waters in search of dolphins, manatees, birds, and more. It was so popular, that two rides were enjoyed - a morning and an afternoon tour with lunch at the A1A Ale House between.
